- Move any furniture or belongings that could get damaged from the leak.
If you have a leak in your home and personal belongings are in the path of the incoming water, make sure you move those items if possible! If you can’t move them, put a tarp or trash bags over them to protect them from water damage. Use a bucket to catch the water from the roof leak.
