Boak & Sons, Inc. has been contracted to replace the roof and slate at the historic B&O Station in downtown Youngstown. This EcoStar project aims to preserve the architectural integrity and historical significance of the building while ensuring its structural safety and longevity.
Scope of Work:
- Assessment and Planning:

- Sourced high-quality, historically appropriate slate and roofing materials from Ecostar.
- Ensure all materials meet the necessary durability and aesthetic standards.
- Roof and Slate Removal:
- Carefully remove the existing roof and slate to prevent damage to the underlying structure.
- Dispose of old materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Installation:
- Install new roofing materials and slate, adhering to industry best practices and historical preservation guidelines.
- Ensure proper insulation and waterproofing to protect the building from weather elements.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections throughout the installation process to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Perform a final inspection upon completion to confirm the integrity and appearance of the new roof.
