At Boak & Sons, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us throughout the years. This summer, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the “Canstruction” event at Eastwood Mall, benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley. Our team came together to create a unique and fun structure that not only showcased our creativity but also contributed to a great cause.

Summer Bites: Building a Burger with a Purpose

For this year’s theme, “Summer Bites,” our talented team decided to build a giant burger complete with ketchup and mustard. Using over 1,600 canned goods, we meticulously crafted this delicious-looking structure, symbolizing the joy and warmth of summer gatherings. Each can used in our creation represents a meal for someone in need, making our burger more than just a visual treat—it’s a beacon of hope and support for our community.

Supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley plays a crucial role in fighting hunger in our region. By participating in Canstruction, we aim to support their mission and help provide meals to those who need them most. The canned goods used in our burger will be donated to the food bank, ensuring that our efforts directly benefit local families.
