- Roofing debris in your yard.
This is probably the most common sign of storm damage we hear about after a big storm rolls through. Many people will actually see shingles or other roofing material laying in their yard even when they can’t see which part of the roof they came from. - Siding that is missing or has come loose.
If your siding wasn’t installed correctly or is old, a strong enough wind can peel it right off of the side of your home or commercial building. This is a much more obvious sign of damage from the storm. However, if the siding has just come loose and hasn’t fallen yet, it might be harder to notice. Take a walk around your home and do your best to inspect the siding. Look for any gaps or uneven portions of the siding. If you see a piece that is coming loose that is in your reach, don’t pull on it! You don’t want to cause any further damage.
