Free Community garage Sale

Giving back has always been at the forefront of Sam Boak’s business and personal priorities. After the Mahoning County community struggled and continues to fight through the COVID-19 pandemic, Sam knew it was time to do something to give back to the community.

Saturday, May 22, The Canfield Rotary Club and Boak & Sons are coming together to host a Free Community Garage Sale. From 9am to 4pm community members are invited to bring a box and shop for 30 minutes for items that will be donated by the Canfield Rotary Club members and the employees of Boak & Sons and multiple members of the community. All items will be completely free of charge, and new items will be made available throughout the day. Monetary donations can also be made to support The Salvation Army and the BeAttitude House.

To help provide donations for this event, Canfield Rotary Club and Boak & Sons is asking for anyone to bring in clean, gently used items to the Boak warehouse at 75 Victoria Road in Austintown. Items to be donated can include:

• Washed, gently used clothing and shoes
• Toys
• Tools
• Electronics that work
• Furniture such as dressers, end tables, any anything else without a cushion
• Clean, working household appliances

Items can be donated at Boak & Sons Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The warehouse and all donated items will be professionally fogged for sanitation and safety purposes. We also ask that all attendees wear masks and practice proper social distancing. Attendees will be permitted in the warehouse in groups and for no more than 30 minutes at a time.
