History of Boak
In 1974, Samuel Boak founded Boak & Sons an insulation contractor. With the high energy costs of the 70's, Boak & Sons saw the need to get into the roofing business by offering an economical way to install a new roof using cutting edge technology and equipment to help the public recoup their costs in energy savings. In keeping with his progressive attitude, Sam added many diverse manufacturers to his product line. This was the beginning of Boak & Sons present commercial roofing department moving into single-ply roofing and sheet metal, which continued the growth and diversification philosophy. The business grew to the point where even more space was necessary. Boak & Sons moved to a new location, 4141 Mahoning Avenue and shortly thereafter, added additional warehouse space of 12,000 square feet due to such rapid growth.
The new millennium found Boak & Sons Inc. once again outgrowing its current facility. We completed construction on a new facility in Youngstown's premier industrial park located on Victoria Road in Youngstown consisting of a 35,000 square foot expansion. This facility enables us to keep up with our rapid growth and service our customers with the quality and workmanship that they have become accustomed to.
